Enterprise-E: Galaxy-Class Heroics Launched in 2372, the Sovereign-class U.S.S. Enterprise NCC 1701-E became the flagship of Captain Jean-Luc Picard and his crew following the loss of the Enterprise-D. The ship played a key role in defeating the Borg during the Battle of Sector 001, with Picard leading the Federation fleet to destroy the Borg Cube and stop the Borg Queen’s attempt to alter history. During the Dominion War, the Enterprise-E carried out import ant diplomatic missions before becoming the first Federation starship to visit Romulus. There, Picard faced Shinzon, a clone of himself determined to wage war on the Federation. The con flict ended with Shinzon’s defeat and the sacrifice of Lieutenant Commander Data, before the crew eventually moved on to new assignments.
